I’m an avid casino games player. My gaming experience started with a few hands of poker on a Saturday night in my home town of Leeds and continued with blackjack and card counting. At the time, I thought blackjack to be a superior game, since it gives the players a chance to improve their game with some preparation and practice.
Moreover, I have a BSc in Applied Mathematics from York University, so analysing mathematical patterns and trying to make them work to my advantage was a challenge too great for me to pass on.
Speaking of my educational background, I went on to study Computational Linguistics at the University of Wolverhampton but dropped out. You see, it was because of a casino. It’s not what you think, though. I didn’t have a gambling addiction. I didn’t lose my tuition money gambling, either. That’s not what prevented me from getting my MA degree. Soon after I moved to Wolverhampton, I started visiting a popular casino in Birmingham. My friends and I would go there every week. That’s where I met Tobias. We quickly fell in love, got married, and got pregnant. That’s why I decided to drop out and spend as much time with my family as possible.
My husband has taught me a lot about gambling and encouraged me to try out new things. We are a perfect fit in many ways. We love throwing private casino parties for our friends. We love travelling and exploring new places. Actually, we have visited quite a few of the world’s renowned land-based casinos. We also love comparing notes on new and upcoming slots and other games and having our own private tournaments at online casinos.
As a stay-at-home mum, I discovered the beauty of slot machines. Don’t judge – it took some time to switch to the slots side but that was mainly because I used to place all my wagers on blackjack. During the last couple of months of my pregnancy, I started playing slots as a way of coping with my anxiety. As for mathematics and blackjack, I’ve put those on the back burner for now but who knows – I might get back to them some day.
